From Moo-Moo to Mod? Apr 14
I bought this dress at H & M with one thought in mind: How cute would it look during pregnancy!
Not so.
Bought it a bit big to grow into throughout pregnancy. Note: It's not a maternity dress.
At 5 months pregnanant I put it on. I looked about 10 months pregnant in it.
So...you can imagaine how it looks now. A moo-moo all the way.
I love the material too much to just throw it by the way side. Or is it waste side?
Whichever. My thoughts: cut it and make it into a shirt.
Any other ideas??? My only stipulation: I want to be able to wear the whatever I make.

I think it would make the cutest handbag/purse. That probably wouldn't due the amount of fabric justice, though. Adorable print! Have fun!
cut off the sleeves, take in the side seams, and wear it as a sundress with a wide belt. i can't even sew on a button, though. so who am i kidding? i am sure you'll do something cute!

no, dad. believe or not, i paid for it! = ). i bought it last Christmas (2008) when i was pregnant with Aubrey.

I'm loving all of your sewing adventures! I'm in the midst of summer sewing too. Easter outfits were quite the ordeal at our house. About your dress...maybe a skirt? I've recently googled refashioning clothes and found some fun stuff, this (http://dana-made-it.blogspot.com/2009/04/summer-fun-shirt-dress-tutorial.html) being one of them. Thought you might like it! I'm going to give it a try. Hope yall are doing well.
OK, Pooh, I will be glad to buy you a new moo moo if you will just give that one to some poor soul who is very, very pregnant. I'm sorry but that one is just horrid!! I love the way Aubrey scruches her nose when she smiles!! Have ya'll ever noticed it??
Mom, you think it's that bad??? I really like the fabric. I'm sure you were with me when I bought it = ). Maybe you were being too nice that day to tell me how you really felt.
I've never noticed her nose...but now that you mention it, I think I know what you are talking about = ).
